To be Inked?

Okay so here’s another thing that California is famous for. It’s tattoos and tattoo artists. Think what you may, but a tattoo can say a lot about a person. Whether it be a memorial moment or just a change in your life that you need tattoos are the one art that will stay with you for a life time.

I’m growing up in a home that isn’t too crazy about being inked, but it’s a part of me now. It’s life. However, there’s so many factors in getting a tattoo.

So you’ve got an option with going either black and grey, colored, or even white ink. The symbol or tribute that you want to be inked on has to be thought of before choose a color palate. If you’re going for something more realistic, I’d go with a black and grey. The shading that can be done is extremely well done if you go to the right person.

Color is for something more animated or more dramatic than black and grey. Yet if you want to do a black and grey with color, I’d be careful. It may look unfinished. It’s completely up to you.

White ink is recently new and it looks cool, but the problem is it showing up on the actual skin. It has an air-y atmosphere to it, but showing up may be harder to do.

There’s so many things you can do, but I’d be careful with who you get tatted from. A person who’s tattooing you has to have experience with ink. Make sure they had an apprentice deal with a more experienced tattooer.

And if you are going to get a tattoo… I’d get something that means something to you. Something extremely important because that’s on your skin forever. As a girl who loves tattoos, I already planned my first tattoo. It’s an anchor with roses and doves on my right rib.

And that brings up to my next topic: the place of your tattoo. I’d be careful just because ink will be judged severely in a professional work environment. Then again if you don’t care, you should be good. Then again don’t forget there will be some places with tattoos that’ll hurt more than others. The worst places for a tattoo pain severity include:

1. Ribs

2. Feet

3. Neck (although I don’t recommend this spot whatsoever)

4. Elbow

5. Fingers

There’s some examples of painful spots to get tattooed. Yes, I know that my first tattoo will hurt like a bitch, but I’ve got a year to wait with anticipation.

If you happen to get a tattoo, you are not entered into a cult. You may be a little different from another person, but it doesn’t make you into a druggie or high class. A tattoo doesn’t change you. It may help you, but it doesn’t make you any different than when you didn’t have one. Please remember that before ya get a big head. And if your purpose to get a tattoo is to show off how tough you are, I’ve got news for you. You aren’t. You just look stupid for suffering pain that doesn’t mean anything to you.

You should be proud of what you’re getting inked. It’s important to you and no one else.
